The LED is green, not white.
Aside from the color of the LEDs, this case is beautiful. I've had one for a few years and it works perfectly. Bought two more as I had some old laptop drives that I wanted to keep using as portable drives. That's great too, especially at this price point. Hard drive installation takes seconds. There is no separate cable to lose. (I have a suitcase with a proprietary cable that is unusable as I lost the cable.) Lightweight, compact. EDIT: The LED is solid green when this case is connected to USB 3. When you connect to USB 2, it will glow blue.
