Incredibly quiet operation and fantastic smart features with no hidden fees! 1- Smartphone Capabilities: This was a key factor in my choice. As a motorcyclist, I love not having to get off my bike to use the keyboard, memorize the remote, or dig it up. Also, temporary access can be granted, so if you want to give someone access without sharing/changing the keyboard code in the future, this solved the problem! Another security that this feature offers is the ability to receive notifications on your phone whenever the door is opened or closed, regardless of the source used. 2- Keypad: It works like any other keypad, you can program other Genie garage doors with 1 keypad. (It's battery operated, so no need to connect electricity.) 3- Alexa: Easy setup, and if you're concerned about security, a password is required to open (not lock) the door with Alexa. 4- Installation: My fiancé installed the opener with no problem. A complete installation is best done by two people.5- Programming: Don't throw away the manual! They're easy to follow, but you need them to set everything up, especially the serial number, which is needed to install the app. You need WiFi to take advantage of your smartphone and Alexa features. My garage is separate and the wi-fi coverage is very poor this distance from home, but I had no trouble getting it to work. Smart technology operation is slightly slower compared to remote/keyboard/wired control, but this is negligible.**Please note that granting "Full Control" does not give that user the ability to grant access to other users or to change. Only the primary account owner can manage access. Full access gives the user the ability to beef up notifications about the status of the garage door.
