the thing is rubbish. I got it because I wanted a small DVD player with an HDMI output. it was much cheaper than the competition. a sign I ignored. short anyway. It didn't sync well with my LG TV and I had to turn it off and on again for my TV to recognize it. then it started closing in and out. then it just stopped working. Of course the DVD was still in there. I had to open the door and use a screwdriver to pry out the DVD. I basically went medieval on it. it was cathartic but now i've lost 40 euros in less than 2 months of use. If you purchase this item, keep the packaging and instructions. you can send it back
