I chose this set because I wanted something a little quicker than the regular gel. I'm also too lazy and cheap to go to the nail salon. It comes with everything you need and is great to start out with. I'm a complete beginner and of course I messed up. I'll do better next time. But the final product is thick, pretty (enough for me) to look at and solid enough that I don't feel like they're going to pop off every time I move my head.Everything is packaged nicely and I would absolutely feel great about giving this as a gift to someone who was interested in this kind of stuff.
