At first I joked with my friends about "spending $20 on a rod to stick it in the ground and forget about it" but to be honest this thing works wonders for my antennas. My antennas were not properly grounded before. This rod combined with 10AWG wire made a huge difference to my SDRs, the noise level is lower, RF reception has increased and some of the interference I have experienced has been reduced. There was a review here that said: When installing the wire on the clamp, place the wire ON THE OPPOSITE side of the screw in the bracket. I did exactly that and found it very very easy, taking less than 3 seconds to insert the wire into the mount. All in all, it was definitely worth it. Installation was easy enough, I just used a regular hammer and gently tapped the top of the pole until it was buried. I also widened the hole a bit and buried the collar.
