GREAT product - AMAZING service

Due to the large amount of rocks and other objects buried near the house, I was a bit concerned about the grounding rods. But this guy got stopped at the first rock/brick/whatever, and then with another hit of the mini sledgehammer she went all the way in. I am thinking of putting another one next to these and then tying them together to get closer to the 8ft of ground that is offered.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I am concerned

The included clip is fine

Based on the reviews here I assumed I would have to buy a different clip for this one. And at first I had problems with it, but then I realized that I'm doing it wrong. Do not try to pinch the wire with the screw, fully open the screw and pass the wire through the opposite side of the pinch. If you then tighten the screw, the yoke will be tightened and you will actually hook it on both sides (top and bottom of the yoke). view picture

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • No insurance

If you are looking for a standard copper ground rod.

If you are looking for a standard copper rod for antenna grounding or something else this is it. The smallest copper wire you can use is AWG 10. Connect the wire to the pole and then the wire to the pole and drive the pole straight into the ground. Keep the wire as short and straight as possible and you're done. PS - Don't forget to ground the coax lines as well. If you look at Revain you will find several products that you can use.

Pros
  • Pretty Package
Cons
  • Poor Set

The picture does not correspond to the product. This is a four foot copper plated earth stake with clamp and screw. It worked great. I used a half inch drill bit to drive into our clay filled floor. If you have trouble installing, partially retract and pull out. Pour water into the hole. Continue driving. Repeat if necessary. Of course, if you hit a rock, pull it out, move it back a few inches, and try again. This is for grounding the TV antenna and the mast mounted on the roof.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • boring packaging

Replace the seller of the screw then I would give you 5 stars

good sharp point that makes it easy to drive into the ground with nothing more than a ball hammer (although I will note that I am in live in florida ye other than granulated sugar and root nothing doesn't bother much); collar at best. A solid clamp force requires at least 8 gauge wire. You can fix this by either replacing the screw or making loops in the ground wire until they are bulky enough. The main conclusion is that the clamp screw is too long so without 6 gauge or 8 gauge wire it is…

Does what it promises, does it well

At first I joked with my friends about "spending $20 on a rod to stick it in the ground and forget about it" but to be honest this thing works wonders for my antennas. My antennas were not properly grounded before. This rod combined with 10AWG wire made a huge difference to my SDRs, the noise level is lower, RF reception has increased and some of the interference I have experienced has been reduced. There was a review here that said: When installing the wire on the clamp, place the wire ON THE…

You can fix this either by changing the screw or by looping in the ground wire until they are bulky enough. The main conclusion is that the clamp screw is too long so without 6 gauge or 8 gauge wire it is problematic to screw it tight to the bar - this is a loop.

Sturdy enough to be easily driven into the ground

This is a copper plated lightning rod. I'm assuming it's copper and not steel since it's so strong. Slowly driving it into the ground wasn't difficult with an 8-pound sledgehammer. For some reason, the screw and bracket for attaching the ground wire are a few inches from the end, and there's no way to get it any closer. I managed to tighten the screw enough that there is little chance of it loosening. After attaching #10 solid copper wire and tightening it very firmly, I covered it with a…
