Review on πŸŽ›οΈ MMF-1.5 Music Hall Turntable by Steve Brethorst

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great table for the money!

I was upgrading the Numark TT-100 table and wanted a table with an S-shaped arm for easy cartridge and bowl replacement. I was torn between it and the Teac TN-400, but the Music Hall had much better wah, flutter and signal-to-noise ratio performance. The photos don't do it justice, it's a beautiful table. I can't comment on the onboard phono stage or the Music Hall Melody pickups (with Grado Black) but I was very pleased with the clarity of the sound compared to the TT-100 (especially at higher volumes). The table has measured 33.2 RPM by default and there is an adjustable speed dial on the back, to confirm this. In my opinion an excellent player for the money.

Pros
  • Belt Drive Turntable
Cons
  • Obsolete Model
