This UV flashlight is a good little flashlight. We just got a new puppy and as all puppies do, they have "accidents". This flashlight helps identify the location of those accidents to allow us to clean the area. Also, living in southern Texas, we have a scorpion or two that finds it's way into the house. This flashlight makes it easy to quickly see these nasty creatures, and yes, they do glow in the dark with the UV flashlight.I believe someone else also mentioned it, but be careful what you wish for. This flashlight will show dust and other areas that may need cleaning. I have also found what appears to be thin areas of paint on the wall.The reason for four stars is this flashlight has two modes of intensity (high/low). I like the higher intensity, but when you shut the flashlight off and then back on, it always turns on with the low intensity; however, if I had on the lower intensity when I turn off the flashlight, when turned back on, it turns on with the higher intensity. Also note that the flashlight does get quite warm if left on for a period of time.All in all, it is a good flashlight for what I purchased it for.
