Don't buy them from Revain

I bought a few from my local Walmart to see if my cat would like them. She ate them quickly and looked at me for more. She's obviously unlucky. So I went to Revain to see if they have variety boxes or other packaging as individual containers are quite expensive. After some research I decided on this special package. They arrived yesterday on a very hot day, about 90°F. The package sat in the truck most of the day and sat in the sun on my porch for several hours. When I opened the box and packaging, every single container was really warm. They felt like they were being rolled around in the microwave for about 30 seconds. I decided to wait to feed my cat. This morning I opened the container to feed my cat and the smell was awful. I noticed it immediately. The stench is gone. Still, I thought it was a fish, and the fish stinks. So I tried giving it to my cat. She took a drag and quickly walked in the opposite direction. At that point the whole place started smelling of this thing so I had to throw it outside. Not wanting to give up, I tried a different container, but with a different flavor. The same thing. Thing. I didn't have this problem with the ones I bought at Walmart on Sunday. Of course, sitting in a hot truck all day and then being left out in the sun ruined these little soups. Imagine taking a bottle of cream or even milk with small pieces of fish floating in it and leaving it in direct sunlight all day on the hottest day of the year and when the sun goes down you decide it's time to pop it to open. . It's very close to her smell. To my surprise, after contacting CS, they told me it's a shame, call the manufacturer. They didn't want to do anything as this item is non-refundable. When they sent me dried Greenies pill pouches that had been crushed I had no problem with CS. I can't even get a replacement which I don't want for sure as I fear the same thing will happen again. So unless you live in an area that has a very temperate or cooler climate year round I wouldn't buy these from Revain. Since Lil Soups are essentially a creamy fish soup, they go bad after being in a UPS truck with no air conditioning for a long time. They were also not saved by the preservatives they contain.
