Always off the pavement, be it snowmobile, truck or plane - I can't count the number of times I've had to flail, bend, heat and swear - to fix or reuse a broken hose clamp - duct tape and prayer - Just to return to civilization. A few minutes of practice and it will solve every collar problem I've ever had. Stronger and more secure than the aviation clamps I use. Bind any two things tightly together - with the help of wire!. The only downsides are: 1) Wrapping the wires the first time can be awkward (better with practice). 2) The tool must rotate at least 120 degrees to "lock" the cable. Depending on the application, difficulties can arise when space is limited. However, I would have wished for that 40 years ago! It goes in the plane's toolbox. I'll buy two more: one for the truck, one for the garage.
