The spray pump has a pumping action like a sprayer. It sprays a 1/8" x 6" liquid line. Hardly picks up dirt and is even less effective with liquids. Better to use a spray bottle and a towel. A regular washcloth absorbs more liquid in a fraction of the time. all the time. I won't even go into the design flaws. If it had the performance of an industrial carpet cleaner I would still only give it 4 stars as design flaws prevent it from being used in corners and cleaning the unit.
