Bought this to keep in the office at work and it works great. I have a 21 ounce thermos that I use for tea every day at work. Before buying this kettle, I heated water in a mug in the microwave and poured it into a thermos. Now I can pour hot water straight into a thermos with this kettle. I fill it to the brim every morning, and I have more than enough water to fill a thermos three times a day. When I leave, I simply drain the excess water from the kettle and let it dry with the lid open. There is a small patch of hard water on the bottom, but I don't see any other debris. Over the past month I've learned how long to leave the kettle on for the desired heat depending on how much water is in the kettle to get my tea perfectly heated.
