I confess that before many Made my own batch years ago after hearing all the hype about charcoal teeth whitening powder. Yes, I'm that frugal. I figured I could save a ton by grinding up some of the activated charcoal I had in my bag unused. Did it work? Yes. Was it safe? Who knows. In hindsight I had no idea if it was edible or not. I just remembered that there was a huge mess. This product doesn't differ in the clutter department. I highly recommend using a small spoon and placing it in a smaller container so the powder doesn't spill all over the place. This product works even better than I remember when my old formula worked and tastes better in the mouth. They added a number of ingredients to make it as enjoyable as possible. Does teeth whiten? Yes, to a certain extent. Better than "whitening" toothpastes, better than plain old baking soda, but no better than whitening pans in my opinion.
