My husband has been in charge of cleaning departments in hotels and hospitals for many years, so every time I review a household cleaner I get his expert opinion on it. He was excited when I showed him the ball joints. In his work he uses similar microfiber telescoping grips/pads, but they have forward/reverse rotation rather than the full twist and turn possible with this setting. Some padding or foam tape around where you're grabbing will do the job just fine. The heads are easy to put on and take off, and the ball is comfortable to hold when using non-grip heads. The retractable handle snaps smoothly and easily into the desired position and does not press down when you press on it. The pads are pretty standard, they work well and wash off easily. My husband uses the same pads at his work and says "they last about 6 months with daily use" since daily hotel use is so much more than what home users would do you can expect a lot longer. Machine wash in cold or warm water, tumble dry. I'm excited. I have vaulted ceilings in part of my house which means the stairs are involved in clearing the walls. It was easy to use. I'm 5'4" and have mild arthritis in my back and was able to manage on my own without having to ask my family for help, although my husband offered. There was a bit of mold on the tiled walls in my bathroom and I made up wet the pillow, wrung it out, pinned it and just brushed it with an extension handle and I managed to do the walls.
