Review on Grey Regular Mouth Mason Jar Salt and Pepper Shaker - Jarware by Bryan Turner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

For use with regular sized jars, not wide neck jars!

PLEASE NOTE REGULAR LID SIZE REQUIRED! If, like me, you have a boatload of jars, but each one has a wide opening, you'll need to buy a jar to use this handy little object. Hence the reason I haven't used it yet. :( I'll come back to update my review if I find I change my mind after using it. However, I bought a couple of 4 ounce regular neck jars to use as spice shakers with Ball Shaker lids , and a ring for these jars is VERY snug, I don't know if the lids on the 4oz jars are smaller than the regular sized lids or not, but I'd be surprised if they were (I just don't know ), so that's another thing to keep in mind now. That being said, it's a handy little gadget and I'm glad I needed it (although I think it's a bit overpriced) to have a salt or pepper shaker on the table , so YMMV I plan to pair it with cacao and confectionery (10X) sugar (or two different types of cacao) as I usually use them in smaller amounts than salt but still use a surprising amount of cacao, I gravitate towards salt a lot and take one often handful l of it. I mostly use roughly kosher or marine It's Maldon cereal and it just won't go through the holes in this shaker. As I was writing this, it finally occurred to me to put Maldon in one of the 4-ounce ball-topped cans, which I did. Works great! Also, I found this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01410LTWC) in my glass cabinet. I think I'll put some kosher salt in a liter jar as soon as I get a regular neck jar. I hate that all of these products are only made for regular opening jars. :(Hmmm, come to think of it - finely ground Himalayan sea salt and finely ground pepper are great for this product. I might need more than 1! LOL My mind is spinning! :D I'm sorry I was so excited about the product! LOVE my jars and am always looking for ways to use them. If this review was helpful to you please let me know! :D Otherwise I will try to be much less detailed in my next review ETA A: Because someone gave 2 stars because their coarse pepper doesn't go through the holes (well, now you know! herbs along with it) So, those of you considering reading this article to When I buy one I do so knowing that it has much smaller openings than the other two shaker lids I have found to date for use with jugs hooray finally there is a product with smaller openings as I don't have one Ball or jarware lids with fine spices.
