Pros: Small in size so a good start and finish for an aspiring artist. When the picture is ready, it can simply be hung on the wall, which will make the baby proud and (of course, the boasting of their children's parents). I will also add that unlike painting on paper, memories last forever with these canvases. (Personally I would apply a thin coat of poly to seal it so you can wipe it off and the painting doesn't fade over time.) I think it was well packaged, they have a thin sheet of plastic between each canvas. Very nice touch! Cons: For the experienced or professional, the canvas is "curved" rather than stretched taut, which is a little frustrating. I've found that these canvases aren't actually gessoable without using some sort of gesso. These canvases almost bleed, which means you A: use more paint because it needs to dry and then apply a second coat, B: the paint almost seems to disappear on the canvas instead of laying down well on the surface. This is great value for a gift, this is a perfect size for those not overwhelmed to finish the crowd. While you can just open and launch your masterpiece, be warned that it may use a gesso layer, that's just my feeling.
