I was totally lucky as the color matched on the first order. I liked the size better. It does NOT look like duct tape like some others on the market. I opened up the cover and added extra padding to the arm before applying the patch. I also tugged at the spot that was peeling off so there weren't long loose pieces under the patch after it was in place. I painted the edge of the patch (before removing the backing) with a dark marker to hide the white border. I think it helps to make it less obvious after application. My only complaint is that it doesn't have the same texture as my sofa, but I knew at the time it wasn't. Overall I love the product. I will be ordering again as we have 2 identical brown "leather" Ashley sofas and both have this issue. If a longer size were available I would buy enough to cover the remaining armrests on my sofas and apply before they start peeling.
