Review on Enhanced Stereo Replacement Headset - Jabra Evolve 30 II (Model 14401-21) by Anand Lal ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Full compliance with the manufacturers assurances, high quality.

If you use it without regular folding / unfolding and for talking, then everything is super. I wanted to buy a plantronics C225 - they gave me one at work - the most super headset: lightweight, compact, with an excellent microphone, with a PHYSICAL microphone mute button on the wire, with a PHYSICAL volume control wheel on the wire. But, as I was told, they are no longer produced. I wanted to buy a plantronics C3225, but it was not available anywhere. I bought this gill and did not regret it. Of the features: at first it seemed that the microphone was poorly fixed in a certain position, but in actual operation there were no problems with this.

Pros
  • Comfortable - sometimes I spent almost the whole day in the headset and without any inconvenience. A good microphone (however, I don’t know what kind of noise reduction it has, and whether it exists at all, because I always talked in relatively quiet rooms). Can be connected via USB or jack. There is a microphone mute button on the cable (only when connected via USB). Good sound - you can watch a movie or listen to music. One common cable for both right and left headphones. Has not broken in 4 months of active use. There is a case for storage/carrying.
Cons
  • You can not turn off the microphone when connected by a jack. Too smart microphone mute button - when you mute the microphone, it changes the status of my microphone in Skype or Teams (and I don’t need this - I want to mute the microphone, but I don’t want anyone to see it). It is impossible to compactly twist the cable - it unwinds all the time. There is a case included, but it is inconvenient to fold the headset into it. For music, the sound quality is so-so - about the level of good plugs. When, finally, someone explains to would-be designers that glossy plastic looks bad in real operation, not in an advertising picture, because quickly gets dirty and scratched! There is not much of it in this headset, but it is there.
