This was our first tie-dye experience and it turned out to be very successful! Our two children aged 6 and 7 helped with their shirts and they loved it. We used every drop of paint from every bottle and made 4 adult t-shirts, 6 children's t-shirts and 2 children's shorts. The colors are so vibrant! We walked as instructed, got wet, squeezed well, tied up (used ties and rubber bands). Then warm up each item in the container, wait 20 minutes to cool, rinse with cold water until the water ran clear, then fill the other sink with hot tap water and a drop of tide, hand wash for a few minutes and rinse well with hot water. Wring out well and let air dry. I changed the hot water for most of the items because I only filled the sink to 1/3. Since we painted them all at the same time, I just kept them all on the shelves until I could heat the next item, which took a couple of hours at most, and used a spray bottle to spritz some water on them before putting them in in the microwave to make sure it doesn't burn.
