Very good saddle. However, this saddle is not for the novice cyclist. Your rear needs to be beefed up with some decent travel before you're ready to hop on this thing. Otherwise it will be too difficult for you and you will fall in love quickly. My usual bike seat is the Performance Bike Softail, which is a low-profile, race-like comfort saddle. Nothing suits me better than one of these and my "other" saddle is a 1990 Selle Italia Flite. so that I can also ride a narrow racing saddle. All in all, the Respiro Athletic doesn't last as long as the Softail on city streets. But it's great as a solid saddle that you can ride for 45 minutes, which is what I use it for. A little more and I'll go numb. But in general what is, I like it.
