I thought I'd give the original manufacturer's replacement filter a try based on the great reviews, but at least the charcoal filter is noticeably rarer. If you hold the original filter up to the light you can see how dense the activated carbon filter is, while with this Cabiclean filter you can clearly see the HEPA filter plates through the activated carbon. I'm sure someone with the right equipment will even notice that they cut some corners on the HEPA filter part, but that's harder to see with the eye. Now I take the original filter. There's no point in saving a few bucks if it defeats the entire purpose of the filter.
