These light bulbs appear bright and may be the equivalent of an 80 watt incandescent light bulb. When I installed it in my Whirlpool microwave it was initially "on" even with the dimmer "off". I solved this problem by putting a 0.22uF capacitor in series with a 1.2kΩ resistor in parallel across the LED terminals. I did this by removing the bottom cover and installing the components in the wiring that led to the base. I also removed the wire guide that got in the way of the longer bulb (I wrapped the wire in tape instead) and put white tape on the inner panel just above the bulb for reflection. MUCH brighter now. Shame on Whirlpool for skimping on the electronics.
