I read other reviews and was hesitant to buy this product. Well I'm glad I bought this because it works like a charm! Small size, low price, easy to attach to my backpack and the app has many functions. I bought the Android version and the ZaZa Remote app is still available on Google Play as of March 31, 2019. My dad and I have stayed at several Marriott properties that use LG TVs and we have not been able to switch the input or adjust the aspect ratio of the TVs. I decided it's worth buying to see if I can fix that and also increase or decrease the volume by 4 levels when I press the button on the remote. In short, it allowed me to fix all of this and more! The ZaZa remote app connected to the hotel network recommended the suggested remote settings to work with the TV and asked me to try them to confirm. It worked on the first try! At first I thought the removed features were pretty basic. Then I realized I could customize the remote in the app, add or remove buttons, rearrange the buttons and even record button presses from the IR TV remote! Why don't other reviews point this out?!? This feature is AMAZING! All you have to do to add pre-programmed keys is press the "." key. button in the bottom right corner, then scroll through the list to select the ones you want to add. I took some screenshots to show you. I ended up with a fully functional LG TV remote with an orange NETFLIX button that I picked up from a hotel remote. I've added a screenshot to the images so you can see the layout I created and also get an idea of some of the pre-programmed buttons that are included. I was also able to turn off the vibration on button press as I hate it when my phone vibrates and wastes battery life. If you want to record keys, you just need to press the ".” key. button in the upper right corner, select Edit IR, point the remote at the adapter and press the button on the remote you are shooting with them facing each other. Then all you have to do is assign the desired button face. The NETFLIX button on the hotel remote was orange, so I went with the orange button. In addition, the application allows you to turn it upside down, so it can be used with no problem when the IR adapter is pointed at the TV. Very impressive stuff here at such a low price! In short, it's convenient for MAX. Do you have an Android phone and want to control your TV? This device is for you. For less than $20, this thing is very portable and fully functional.
