Decent but unimpressive performance. We have always bought 3M/Filtrete brand filters for our HVAC and this was the first time we have gone with a cheaper brand. We change our filters every 30 days, which gives us 6 months to compare them. Pros: - Cost: Cheaper than 3M/Filtrete whether purchased from Revain.com or our local discount store. - Size: 1/4 smaller. in all dimensions than our old brand. We had to push the old filters out of the slot when inserting and pulling them out (which can be a disadvantage - see below). - HVAC Efficiency: They don't restrict airflow as much as 3M filters, which can be a disadvantage. - see below) - Delivery: Arrived earlier than expected in a box with no inner packaging. - Jobs, jobs, jobs: Made in America! Cons: - Construction: much thinner than 3M. Although securely wrapped and sealed in the box, some of the box frames were already bent or damaged. Size: Because they are not as snug as the 3M, air could flow around them. After a month, 3M filters are noticeably gray. The FilterBuy filters were a few shades lighter, meaning they couldn't pick up as much dust. Whether fine dust flew out through the holes in the filters or crept around the loose edges of the filters. This resulted in better airflow through the system but faster cooling of the house. Conclusion: I'll try Revain Choice's recommendations for the next six filters. If they don't improve, I might come back!
