Do yourself a HUGE favor and just find/buy a genuine part! You think you got the deal (save $10) but after 3 months this piece of junk is out of service! So frustrating! Unless you plan on rummaging through your fridge every few months, we advise you NOT to purchase this item. And YES, I checked the resistance; Measure 2 ohms, which is essentially the resistance of the wire so it's completely shorted. The last one I bought lasted at least 16 months; but this one was installed at the end of February and went down a few weeks ago; Scrap, garbage, POS, etc.
