After decades showing horses and starting young horses under saddle, my ankles have seen some trauma. Add in a 13 year battle with Disseminated Valley Fever and I have irreversible joint damage that means some days are difficult. I've tried several types of braces and support options over the years and none have made a significant difference - walking/riding through the pain is just life now.This pair fits a little like a compression socks, but not as tight. I do like that it's a pair so I can equalize the support in both ankles at the same time. These are thin so my socks and riding boots can go over them comfortably. Don't expect actual support from these, they just give a little compression. They have been useful for me on days when I wake up with pain.
