The power cord comes out of the top of the product

Nothing on the display says or shows the position of the power cord. This product is large enough for indoor use and cannot be used outdoors where it may get wet. The power cord exits the top of the unit and the instructions state that the power cord should not touch the sides of the unit. This seems like a design flaw, because even if you hang the product, do you have to hang it (and it's quite long) under an outlet?
