I purchased this product for a custom application due to its size and material (Aluminum). The advertised, detailed dimensions were decisive for my purchase decision. I used this item to successfully install a backup camera on an old car. I had to enlarge a few pre-drilled holes and bend the mount to refine the look of the camera - it's relatively easy with aluminum. The mount is strong and looks great.
