I like this basket very much. It is very well built and will keep your dog safe and secure when attached with a harness. My little 8lb shih tzu gets very nervous sometimes and squirms while cycling so his safety is my main concern and he is very safe in this basket. He tried to jump out and chase the cat and was held very securely by the straps - you can adjust the straps to be very secure or looser to give them a little slack. This pet carrier is more expensive than the available ones. but it's worth the money.* I don't think this basket is suitable for dogs over 5kg or very long/large dogs. So order a larger size if you have a large dog. Also, this carrier may not fit your bike - it won't fit my husband's road bike or my teenager's bike. So be sure to measure your bike to make sure it meets the listed specifications. My bike is a wide handlebar beach cruiser bike and it works great.
