I'm not a military or ex-military but I still really like this watch. It looks great and the features are great for people who want a rugged smartwatch. I use the GPS features for hiking and hunting and they even have an app to download which is a good range shot timer. I downloaded a cool watch face that also includes my favorite teams' logos. Only criticism is that the battery could be improved. If I go camping I need to make sure I have a good solar charger and battery for it to work with GPS. With normal use the battery lasts over 10 days, but with GPS and apps you get 1 full day.
