I knew my dog definitely hated winter boots, so we just looked for boots to protect his paws from the horrible salt they sprinkled on our sidewalks and streets. He tolerates them and they fit well - they're a little fiddly with the extra step of zipping them up and then velcroing them in place, but at least that's how we know they hold up well enough. The only issue I have with them is that they rub, which fits his dog's ankles - we tried two sizes and they both rub so we only use them sparingly when the weather is pretty cold or when the sidewalks are pretty are covered with salt.
