I used this to install brake and shifter cables on a bike, 4 cuts total. So far he has made clean cuts. I don't have Popeye forearms, but I can still cut with no effort. The crimping portion of the tool will pinch and potentially shear the end cap if you squeeze too hard. It took a bit of experimenting with the extra wire to get the desired result. I have not used it to cut or crimp the cable jacket as I used an old jacket on my bike. If you are looking for a bike wire cutter/crimper at a lower price than Park Tools, this is a good option.
