Review on 📷 Enhanced VILTROX EF-R2 Auto Focus Lens Adapter for Canon EF EFS Lenses on Canon EOS R Series Cameras – Ultimate Control and Compatibility by Sean Fabacher

I fitted an EF-R2 to my new EOS R5 with seven different EF lenses. Updated the Viltrox EF-R2 firmware to version 1.1 from their website (it came with firmware 1.0) and configured the control ring functions through the R5 menu setup. Use different AF settings and control ring functions (Kelvin color temperature settings etc.) with my R5, everything works fine. The control ring is a little tight, and the EF lens rotational play at the junction between the EF-R2 and the back of the EF lens has very little play, but the fit tolerance is tight. The torsional strength and fit between the back of the EF-R2 and the body of the R5 camera is fine, no play. A 4 star rating due to the slight rotational stiffness of the control ring and slight rotational play between the back of my RF and EF-R2 lenses, everything else is fine.
