This is probably the worst review I have ever had to write. I usually give the product the benefit of the doubt and some slack for a cheap item, you get what you pay for. In this case the price, although low, wasn't worth even the small amount I paid for the item. I've routed quite a bit of RJ45 wiring and love the process. I just needed some special cables and didn't want to spend too much money so I ordered this set. All parts looked good and the case is fine. First impressions were generally good, then I started using it. The crimping tool was the main item I wanted, everything else wasn't particularly important. I went to work and made my first cable. When I was done, I pulled out the tester to check for continuity. At first I thought the tester was broken. Of the 8 wires, I only had a short circuit on two. I tested the tester with a store bought cable and it worked fine. So I created wire number two. This time I had 4 wires with continuity and they were different from the first test. After about 4 more tries I was frustrated as hell. None of them worked. Upon further investigation, I found that almost every crimp had the blades pushed aside. Only a handful was pushed through enough to pierce the wire. I took a macro lens and took a few pictures. You can see what I found. Almost every crimp came out this way. I couldn't make a single good cable. Even if I get all my money back for this, it's a waste of time. I recommend staying away from them. Note. Sorry for the video quality. It is extremely difficult to keep a stable record while in Marco and pressing the crimpers.
