I do not recommend.

This kit contains some inferior components. I bought it primarily as a crimping tool. The ports were a nice added bonus when I bought it (or so I thought). Crimping tool: In general, the crimping tool is fine. The cutting tool on it leaves a lot to be desired and some end up with sore hands after multiple uses. Wire Stripper: The wire stripper is pretty good. Connectors: They really suck. Of the 5 cables I ran, two were registered to the switch at 100Mbps. I had to redo them several times. In…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Overall good value for money, it helps you get the job done but leaves something to be desired. Poor quality crimper. I noticed halfway through the work that it wasn't punching through pin 1 properly, started the tester and some were affected enough to work and others not. The wire stripper is very cheap…

Pros
  • Great design

The crimper sucks - DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY

This is probably the worst review I have ever had to write. I usually give the product the benefit of the doubt and some slack for a cheap item, you get what you pay for. In this case the price, although low, wasn't worth even the small amount I paid for the item. I've routed quite a bit of RJ45 wiring and love the process. I just needed some special cables and didn't want to spend too much money so I ordered this set. All parts looked good and the case is fine. First impressions were generally

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
