I've been using Swiffer disposable rags but wanted to switch to something more sustainable and reusable. I did my research and it seemed to me that this is the best rag you can get. Unfortunately I have to go back after using it several times. Because it has a simple problem: it doesn't *collect* dust. It still looks as clean as when you bought it. On the other hand, as soon as I finish dusting, I start sneezing, my nose gets stuffy, and my throat gets dry because the *air* is full of dust. It just throws dust into the air. By comparison, when I used the Swiffer replacement dust collector heads, they got *dirty*. They actually *collect* all the dust. I don't sneeze, my nose is clear, my throat is fine. I only mop a one bedroom apartment and I mop it once a week. Tried light and firm wiping. It does not matter. If you dust just before work and then vacuum home to let the dust settle, it might work for you. But if you really want to hang out where you've gone. it just won't work. So back to Swiffer. If anyone knows of reusable rags that actually collect dust, please leave a comment. :)
