He does what he wants with a 1999 GMC pickup

This is the second code reader I bought for my lover to use on our 1999 GMC pickup that sometimes shows minor codes. He thinks it's great that he can check if he really needs to take his truck to a garage or if he can do it himself, not only for practical reasons but also because it can save a lot of money. We recently moved house and unfortunately we couldn't find the original code reader that he loved so much. I was very happy with the price of this new one when I found it because it is significantly smaller than the original. I wasn't sure if that would work, but it seems to do exactly what it needs to do. He says it's easy to connect, check codes, the display is easy to read and it comes with good instructions, although it's fairly intuitive to use. It is lightweight and quite compact for storage. He hopes I don't tuck it TOO well like the previous one.

Pros
  • . Simple control: plug and play. 1.Turn off the ignition. 2. Locate the 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC) in the vehicle. 3. Insert the OBD II cable into the vehicle's DLC. 4. Turn on the ignition. The engine is stopped or running. 5. Press the back/confirm button to enter the diagnostics menu. The display screen will show a series of OBD2 log information until the vehicle log is detected.
