Gooseneck, not robust case gets very hot

UPDATE - LIGHT IS BROKEN, CANNOT HEAT - DO NOT BUY THE LAST, JUST LONG ENOUGH YOU CANNOT RETURN. The neck is not strong - I have to tie it behind the gas cap to keep it from falling into the water, the clamp base is not strong enough to support the fragile neck. I had to adjust it so it doesn't touch the tank cap as the lamp body heats up so much that it melts the plastic cap and the rim of the tank. There are probably better products out there - that was in my price range so I'm looking into that.
