Tried some of the smallest adapters, I had two different types of butane, followed directions, it was insanely difficult to get butane in this one. My friend eventually did, or at least a little. I came here to read other people's reviews to see if there was another fight and noticed someone mentioning Ronson brand butane. I ended up giving the second one to my friend, mentioning the reviews and saying he had a Ronson at home to fill out. . My brother arrived today and I had already decided whether to let him have it or throw it away and right after I threw it away I mentioned that Ronson was a 'trick'. He unexpectedly ended up with a jar, part of which was left in his room, and of course, after a couple of failed attempts with two other adapters, Ronson pulled it off with no problem. 1 star for effectiveness with a specific butane. may/type but is not only mentioned or advertised as being compatible with that brand. They were cheap, so taking it as a loss wasn't a big deal, but it was one of those cheap buys that ultimately showed why they were cheap to begin with. Honestly it shouldn't be that hard to fill one up and pump properly, set, every nine yards and no butane until the Ronsons get involved. I've had about 15 different types and styles of butane gas torches and none of them were as resilient or complex. It would have stayed in the bin if he hadn't found that bottle but told him to keep it for himself and then break it into pieces but I didn't want a headache. that it only works with a very limited set of tips/nozzles.
