Review on 🚴 Topeak Road Morph G Mini Pump: Your Perfect Compact Solution for Road Cyclists by Ashwin Patel

Too heavy for most road builders I know but worth every gram

I bought this pump to ride on a bike I have in another city where I travel a lot for work. I don't have access to a floor pump there and need a pump that is both fast and gives me an idea of how much air is actually in my tires. Also, I've had a few flat tires with this bike, and I need a frame pump that can actually do the job of a floor pump: pumping my tires from zero to full pressure repeatedly with little effort, without damaging my tires. valves. The bike I use it with is actually a mountain bike with 2" semi-slick tires for mixed road and mountain use. But even with tires several times the volume of street tires, it inflates FAST: a lot less than a hundred strokes and those 80psi fat tires. To be honest, even my old Mountain Morph pump is a little slower and a lot faster than that Master The blaster it replaces, capable of over 200 hits, is not only fast but also easy to use. The extension hose allows you to put the base on the ground and use it as a mini floor pump, making your hands a lot lighter and also avoiding the tire valve when pumping (a problem I've had several times in a row). The sensor could be better, it's quite small and really hard to read except in exceptionally good light, and mine seems extremely inaccurate (hard to read). But at least it's consistent, and I've learned to adjust to its inaccuracies, and I'm very glad I have it. Every time I come into town and pick up my bike from the locker I rented, I can inflate both tires to the desired pressure quickly and without hesitation. The gauge and hose add at least a few ounces, which most riders wouldn't do. come along with. For me it's worth it as I don't have a floor pump to bring my bike home. Downgraded a star due to the inaccuracy of my pressure gauge, but still this is the best frame pump I have ever had. At least assuming it lasts, and I haven't come across a frame pump that still works after fully inflating 20 empty tires, but fingers crossed here.
