My neighbor died a few weeks ago and has been taking care of a loose cat for the past 15 years that is mostly feral and the only human contact the cat knows is our neighbor. The poor kitten looked so sad, weak and unhappy. Right after his husband passed away I made sure he ate and drank fresh water every day and also tried to gain his trust to see if he was neutered and to make sure he followed his vet check up Vaccinations etc. (I have house cats and also don't want to risk their health by bringing any kind of sickness or disease with them.) Anyhow, it's going to be 40 degrees Fahrenheit tonight and it's only going to get colder. He used to sleep in his human garage, but we don't have a garage. I've ordered a really well insulated house for wildcats, but it will take another 2 or 3 weeks, and in the meantime I've received it myself. a warm blanket which I hear he can use now, and I can put it in the cat's house when she's there. It arrived yesterday and I put it where he likes to lie sometimes and I looked outside at 11:30pm, it's evening and he was all snuggled up to her! He hasn't committed to anything else I've given him and I didn't hold my breath thinking he wouldn't like it either and I would just give it to my spoiled house cats. Rschunimagu. But it looks like it's approved for feral cats! Hooray!
