AMAZING! Feel free to buy this! So I've had my fair share of animal pens since I've been volunteering at no-kill animal shelters for almost 15 years. I have also always been a foster child, meaning I take orphaned kittens and feed them 24/7 every two hours until they are old enough to be adopted (Note: do not attempt to care for an orphaned kitten unless because, you know how super fragile you are, you can't feed them on their backs, you have to encourage them to use the break room and keep their body temperature at a certain level). I was able to try several that the shelters had and I had a few. I moved to a small town where there is only one animal welfare association, which means there is almost no funding. I knew I needed a new playpen for my foster parents. The kittens remain in care until they are around 1 month old and then turn 2 years old in the last month. They love to immerse themselves, explore, cry when you're not around, and it's all so much fun. This item was so perfect! It opens straight up and is very easy to attach to the bottom and top (if required). The perfect size for what I need it for. The quality is really good, which was important to me. I've had kittens tear these things up so easily in the past. This one has held up really well and the structure is very solid. The carrying case and the simplicity of it all make it easy for them to explore a bit as they get older. I can be sure that they are safe and in one place, they tend to get lost or get stuck and then cry. They can see me so it helps them sleep but gives them enough room to run around. As you can see from my photos I have a small box, toys, a scratching post for scratching posts and food. They even have a heating pad under the covers. When I'm away I wear tops so my cats don't jump. All in all I should have ordered mine and this one a long time ago, it would have saved me a lot of time tracking them down. down and weed out the cheaper ones. I've also raised puppies and injured animals, so this thing is great for that too. Any dog over 20-30 pounds can jump without a top. It's also a great tote bag for traveling, I'll use it when we go camping! Can't say enough about the quality, size, functionality and even the EXTRA pockets!
