VERY UNDERSTANDING best in my rating

In fact, this is my third ultra wide. I got one as soon as they first launched in 2014. The 180Hz refresh rate is a handle, the response time is really good, and one feature that nobody seems to be talking about is the dimmable ELMB SYNC backlight strobe (there's also a regular ELMB for those with a fixed refresh rate)! Well, this feature is probably one of the monitor's weakest points because it's not perfect. You get double-screen crosstalk outlined in red, which is most noticeable at the top and bottom of the screen. For me it depends on the game, but I tended to find it even clearer and more useful for games like DOOM and other fast-paced shooters. When the audio is on, it's definitely clearer (except for crosstalk), but crosstalk isn't always noticeable. The UFO test is impressive compared to the Predator X34P 120Hz 4ms monitor I had. Yes, although it only has 1 USB-A port you can use a USB hub, but that's not a problem. The problem is how limited it is in toggling back and forth when switching display inputs. And he falls asleep and cannot be awakened as you wish. I found it much easier to just use Displayport and USB-C for video input, and then a separate USB KVM connected to my PC/laptop so I only have to press the KVM button when either is powered on is. device and it works automatically. Keyboard shortcuts have limited uses, you can't assign them what you want, which is stupid. But you can at least save presets, say one with ELMB-SYNC and one without, and select those presets from the shortcuts. I do not care. I mounted it on VESA and it wobbles a bit more than I'd like, but that's not the worst (don't know why it's so weak there). The ROG logo projector is such a useless gimmick. I would have preferred the backlight, which I ended up installing on the back. But overall the picture is great and the price can't be beat. And it's one of the few ultra-wide models with backlighting, and almost none with adjustable backlighting. It would be nice to see Mfgs offer better screen splitting software (or any other at all) but I use a program called Windock which is very good. for ultra-wide window control. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • ASUS Fast IPS technology delivers a 1ms (GTG) response time for crisp gaming images at high frame rates.
Cons
  • Poorly designed menu
