Purchased for use on mask. That works great. Easy to tie, very stretchy and soft behind the ears. Holds up well when washed. Don't let thinness bother you. It really works. My husband wears a mask 12-14 hours a day and this is the first gum I've tried that doesn't get in his ears. I've tried to give a sense of the size but it's not a very good picture. This corresponds roughly to a candle in a small birthday candle. I bought the other two from another store. Gray - 2mm. Sewing is difficult, the knots are large and bulky, tight behind the ears. It takes a long time to soften. White 1/8 inch flat. Works, but doesn't last at all. After a few washes it is easily erased and cracked. Constant repair and replacement.
