Many years ago I bought a Mothers headlight polishing kit. I have been using Mothers products for many years and will not use anything else. This stuff works. I keep the headlights of my wife and my mother-in-law clean with little effort. I recommend if the headlights you are repairing are in very bad condition to use 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200 then polish and they will be like new. Most problems with most plastic-coated headlights are due to road gravel fogging them up. If they're just yellow, wipe them down with some kind of insect repellent that contains diethyl ether to get rid of the yellow, then you can tell if you need to polish them or not. If they need polishing, buy one of the Mothers sets.
