Works great with the right technique

This is my first time wearing contact lenses. My fingers are too big to place and remove effectively so despite some reviews I took a chance. It didn't work the first few times. After thinking about what it takes to make it work, I realized that the "tweezers" aren't spread far enough apart to get a good grip to fold/bend the lens and lock it to grab. So I applied pressure to my eye/lens to spread the tweezers a bit, to or close enough to the edge of the lens where he could get a good grip. The key is to hold the tweezers back far enough for them to spread, but not so far that you can't squeeze them and help clamp the lens. Once I understood that, it became very easy. I was relieved because I expected this to solve my problem and was disappointed at first. Also, I find that after a long day they are drier and stickier on the eyes, making the seal harder to remove, so to speak. Before attempting to remove them, I put some eye drops in my eyes to moisten them and help them loosen. Make sure the pliers are dry, this will help them stick, even if you're just putting drops in your eyes. It may take a few times to master this technique and it may even take a few/several tries once you've done it, but for now it's working great. Placing with the other end is much easier than with your finger. Make sure the cup is dry, put a drop or two of the solution in the lens before inserting it in the eye. I find this helps create a seal/suction. Use the tool to gently press against the eye, then move slightly to ensure full contact and pull back.

  • Removes soft contact lenses
Cons
