Having downsized we needed a king size air mattress when our son and daughter in law came to visit - something to put away when they left , and more, there is a spare space for our needs - home gym/office. They have extended their stay and I don't think they will leave. They couldn't believe it was an air mattress and said it was as comfortable as his own bed - my son spares no expense when buying furniture so that's saying something! I have a good mattress/mattress combo and good Egyptian cotton sheets, but the firmness of this bed is just right. We inflated the mattress 5 days before arrival and the smell of "new airbed" dissipated within 2 days. We inflated it as instructed during this time to accommodate the stretch of the air mattress material and it settled to perfection in about 15 seconds of additional air pressure. They slept on it and it took another 15 seconds of air pressure, about 2 days later and then again 2 days later. I don't think that given the newness of this mattress I would consider it too high maintenance. My son is a big guy - 250lbs of muscle and his wife is an average height of about 130lbs - the bed makes absolutely no noise when getting up or getting up - sounds like a regular bed. And none of them jumped up when someone turned around. Conclusion: This bed is of exceptional quality, we are very happy with our purchase! --- except maybe TOO convenient! ** We had an issue with the 1st bed that was sent to us. I wrote this review but haven't posted it yet, around the 5th day of our baby's arrival, the bed was emptied in the middle of the night. We were disappointed but found a leak, it was a defect in the stitching. As far as I know, these things happen. We took some photos, called support # and they were SO NICE and HELPFUL! The bed was sent to us immediately, the children slept on the sofas for several nights. Within a week we had a new bed. My sister-in-law said she loves the smell - it reminded her of air mattress hikes as a kid - LMAO. So it worked and I don't know what to say about the other bad reviews but I can only speak from my experience. The children have decided to return to the area and their new home will not be ready for another month. The new bed was amazing, NO PROBLEM. A month after they left we had another guest, my husband's brother, a man of 6ft 3in and weighing about 275 pounds. The bed was great, he said he wouldn't go either! Great product and great customer service!
