Review on Milwaukee 0234 6 Magnum 2 Inch Drill by Jose Cruz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Gorgeous Milwaukee Magnum

I have owned this 0234 for at least 15 years, maybe 20 years. It was dropped from a 12-foot scaffold onto the concrete floor below at least twice. He's been thrown into muddy puddles too many times to remember, but at least 8 times. They dragged him through the mud. He's screwed in everything from 3.5" square head screws to 1/2" bolts thousands upon thousands of times. The torque on this drill is incredible and several people I have worked with would not use it due to its power, which is very deceptive given its small physical size. Trust me when I say this drill is a tough, durable machine that will stand up to what I believe to be utter abuse beyond the call of duty. Finally, after all these years, my drill stopped working. . I was very concerned that it would no longer be available in local stores and I was right. All they have is garbage. Before this evening is out I'm going to buy another drill, the very same one that has served me so well for the last 15-20 years. If you buy this drill you will be very satisfied. It will easily outlast any other drill for years if not decades. (When I bought mine years ago, I threw away five other drill bits. I could have saved a lot of money just buying a Milwaukee.) The Milwaukee Magnum is really small in physical size and torque is easy to screw in Screw in 1.5mm thick wood (not that you want it). However, you must respect him by respecting his power. Take extra care when using with hole saws. It is variable speed and reversible. It will easily finish off any decking project or an entire construction project and then take over other projects whether you are using screws, tie bolts, head bolts or deck bolts/screws. It is also good for drilling holes in masonry.

Pros
  • Drill
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank
