Review on ๐Ÿณ Cuisinart 733-30H Chef's Classic Stainless 5.5 Quart Saute Pan with Helper Handle and Cover - Silver by Josh Nat

Revainrating 5 out of 5

GREAT pan! Doesn't stick when used CORRECTLY!

After reading some negative reviews I was hesitant to buy this pan. but after 3 months of searching for a suitable replacement 5 liter pot that is a REAL 5 liter pot, has a STAINLESS STEEL lid and will NOT break the bank when our stainless steel pan finally fails beyond repair. I held my breath and ordered this. Can I say we LOVE it. I mean LOVE LOVE LOVE it! This non-stick coating is free from the toxic chemicals found in Teflon, ceramic, etc. And we do NOT have to take care of it to take care of it - WIN, WIN! For a stainless steel pan to be non-stick, you have to use it RIGHT, so don't whine about that pan being sticky unless you've learned how to use it RIGHT. Heat the pan over medium-high heat for 2-4 minutes (depending on YOUR specific stovetop, burner size and speed, etc.). You can add a few drops of water to the pan to check if it is heating PROPERLY. the water should slide over the pan like a skater on ice. If the water slips, then you can go. Add some oil, then your food and it shouldn't stick. There are some things that stick even when I OVERHEAT the pan, but almost everything we cooked in this pan did NOT stick to the pan. We love it! Put in the dishwasher or hand wash to clean. If food sticks to it or the oil is caked on it, add some hot water and some dish soap and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. After that, it should be very easy to clean. So far I've only had to use something a little more abrasive ONCE (like the SOS pad) and that's because there's oil burnt into the underside at one point. With very little grease on his elbows, he immediately cleaned up and looked brand new again. We use this pan about 4-5 days a week, sometimes 6-7. for at least one meal, although some days we use it for 2 or 3 meals. Works and works well! I would like to buy another pan in the future so that we can cook even faster for our extended family. Oh, and this pan is a REAL 5 1/2 quart pan, unlike our last one which claimed 5 quarts but only held just over 4 quarts. I recommend it!
