What can I say? I was hoping for magical back pain relief. As I have judged, this product is ok; It can increase pressure on certain areas of the back, thereby relieving some tension in a spot that may not be accessible without tools. I hesitate to call it a "massage" because it only works if you move it by hand. I can see its value but to be honest after a few uses I put it in my closet months ago and haven't used it since. It's not bad quality for what it is, but in that regard it's just a pressure-point wand. Again, overall it's good, but in hindsight I wouldn't buy anything else. Hope that helps! *** TO EDIT. I will upgrade this by one star from 3 to 4. I pulled The Hook back out of the closet to help with back pain in a very specific but (IMO) inaccessible area. with his own hands). I place the wand handle squarely on the knotted muscle and apply pressure to minimize the knot and ease some of the pain. I don't get to use it often, but for this specific need I'm glad to have it on hand. It's well built and I think I'll have it for many years. Hope this update is helpful!
